New Zealand born, Australian raised filmmaker and photographer Jake Jelicich developed a roll of B&W film in a darkroom at age 16 and never looked back. Self-taught, Jake has never had a ‘real’ job. Between 18-25 Jake was involved in an eclectic range of personal art projects - from music videos to album art and tour visuals. His first solo exhibition was at 20. He’s once had his house burn down via arson. Another time he was drugged in Tokyo. He also attempted to survive on a deserted island in Fiji and failed when their passports were stolen from a nearby tribe. Jake holds a silver and gold from the Australian Cinematographers Society. Now he directs. Recent clients include Apple Music, Capitol Records, Interscope, Sony Music, and Universal Records.
