Cannes Young Director Award winner Hoku Uchiyama met director and creative soulmate, Adam Bolt, while studying at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
The duo came to light after the Webby nomination of their music video for Evelyn Evelyn’s ‘Have You Seen My Sister Evelyn?’ and grew their reputation, crafting clever, quirky and technical pieces. They’ve since directed works for Starbucks, Google and They Might Be Giants, along with award-winning spots for National Geographic, Wilkinson Sword (by animating facial hair) and YouTube (utilizing 18 distinct styles of animation).
